The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eldridge lands with a kick to the temple. Sutherland shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Paul Sutherland has been cut.
Eldridge dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sutherland. That did some damage!

Sutherland throws a lazy right hand but Eldridge sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Eldridge connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sutherland momentarily.
Sutherland's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sutherland is defended easily by Eldridge.

Sutherland is breathing heavily.
Eldridge throws a sloppy head kick and Sutherland moves out of range easily.
Sutherland has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Eldridge.

Sutherland throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Sutherland is rocked!

That has opened up Paul Sutherland's cut even more.
Sutherland changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eldridge tries to avoid it but Sutherland manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eldridge to the ground. Eldridge escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sutherland is still on wobbly legs! Can Eldridge finish him?
Michael Eldridge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Sutherland.
Sutherland walks straight into a right hand from Eldridge - that's dropped him! Eldridge jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sutherland from any more punishment! Sutherland complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
