Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Son Goku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Gerrard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mick Gerrard!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerrard scores with a jab to the body.
Goku is looking to score with low kicks.
Goku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Son Goku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gerrard tries to clinch up.
Gerrard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Goku slips a jab and a cross from Gerrard.
Gerrard lands with a nice combination. Goku backs away looking to recover.

Gerrard closes the distance and pushes Goku back into the cage.
Goku throws an elbow that misses.

Gerrard is trying to break the clinch but Goku is controlling him.

Goku needs to keep his hands up - Gerrard had a free shot at his head there.

and Gerrard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Gerrard throws a series of punches but Goku avoids them all with ease.

and Gerrard counters with a three punch combo that has Goku backing up. Goku nods at Gerrard to acknowledge the strikes.

and Gerrard counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Goku off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Gerrard follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Goku was out before he hit the floor.
