Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mirkai Sakuba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarez De Ertu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakuba comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet For My Valentine - All These Things I Hate. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mirkai Sakuba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jarez De Ertu!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Ertu scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Sakuba really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jarez De Ertu.

Let's hope that De Ertu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

De Ertu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

De Ertu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Sakuba is looking to improve his position but De Ertu isn't that keen on the idea.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Ertu is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sakuba to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sakuba shrugs it off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jarez De Ertu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



De Ertu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

De Ertu is trying to get an arm triangle but Sakuba is defending well.
De Ertu cracks Sakuba with an elbow. That is naaassty.
De Ertu looks up at the clock and then as Sakuba takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, De Ertu smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
De Ertu has knee on belly and moves into mount.

De Ertu manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sakuba to take his back!
Sakuba breaks De Ertu's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
De Ertu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

De Ertu pushes Sakuba off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Sakuba throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
De Ertu jabs Sakuba to the body, keeping him at a distance.
De Ertu throws a right hand that Sakuba ducks under and follows up with a left that Sakuba also avoids with ease.

De Ertu tries to keep at a distance but Sakuba has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sakuba using the Thai plumb to throw knees but De Ertu has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

De Ertu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sakuba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jarez De Ertu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got De Ertu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
