Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between R The ghost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meridius has chosen Down with the sickness as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Meridius is defended easily by The ghost.
The ghost tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Meridius manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The ghost moves to clinch but Meridius breaks away
and Meridius counters with a stiff right hand.

Meridius shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The ghost but The ghost pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Meridius shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The ghost as he jumps to the side.
R The ghost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Meridius.
Meridius stuns The ghost with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Meridius throws a head kick that misses.

The ghost gets a clinch.
The ghost tries for a takedown. No joy.
The ghost has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Meridius after a bit of a struggle.

Meridius jumps into guard, dragging The ghost to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Meridius is looking to sinch up a triangle. The ghost throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Meridius's body to avoid the submission. Meridius has instead reached around The ghost's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Meridius arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
