Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Crushkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Heinze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crushkin comes to the cage accompanied by Arcturus - Ad Absurdum. Nikolai Crushkin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikolai Crushkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andreas Heinze!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heinze is looking to clinch but Crushkin is avoiding it.

Crushkin rushes Heinze and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Crushkin working hard to break the clinch.
Heinze gets underhooks to prevent Crushkin's takedown attempt.

Crushkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Crushkin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Heinze to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Heinze is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Heinze looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Heinze stands up over Crushkin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Heinze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crushkin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Heinze got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crushkin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Heinze has managed to get both his arms back between Crushkin's legs - danger averted.

Heinze throws a strike but Crushkin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Heinze is on top in guard.
Heinze throws an elbow that misses. Crushkin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Heinze's guard. Nice move by Crushkin!
Crushkin is pushing down on Heinze's leg trying to pass to half guard. Heinze is fighting to maintain full guard but Crushkin has managed to sneak the leg through.
Heinze preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Crushkin is working for a kimura but Heinze is defending it quite comfortably.

It looks like Nikolai Crushkin has been cut.
Crushkin has Heinze pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Heinze manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Crushkin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Crushkin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andreas Heinze hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Heinze wants the takedown. Crushkin is fighting it off but Heinze persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Crushkin's guard against the cage.
Crushkin controls Heinze momentarily but Heinze frees himself.

Crushkin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Heinze misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Crushkin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Heinze gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Andreas Heinze comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Heinze has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
