Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mickey Mouse is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mouse.
Mouse throws a right and a left that Sakuraba avoids nicely.

Mouse shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sakuraba is trying to defend but Mouse finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mouse connects with a nice short shot to Sakuraba's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sakuraba tries to get to full guard but Mouse has control of the leg.
Mouse has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sakuraba is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Mouse wants to control but Sakuraba is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Sakuraba tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mouse knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mouse wants to improve his position but Sakuraba is controlling well.
Sakuraba is looking to advance position but Mouse won't allow it.

Sakuraba is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mouse defends it well.

Mouse makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Nice sprawl there from Sakuraba as Mouse shoots in.

Mouse gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Mouse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sakuraba slips a jab and a cross from Mouse.

and Sakuraba counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Mouse wants to get back to his feet.

Sakuraba is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mouse doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sakuraba.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mouse is defending against the submission attempts here by Sakuraba.

Sakuraba is working for a kimura but Mouse is defending it quite comfortably.
Mouse has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sakuraba is working away from the top position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sakuraba prevents Mouse from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kazushi Sakuraba will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mouse's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sloppy strikes from Mouse. Those never looked like landing.
Sakuraba misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sakuraba blocks the body kick.
Sakuraba steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mouse.
Sakuraba fails with the takedown.
Mouse stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mouse wants it to stay on the feet.
Sakuraba shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mouse but Mouse pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mickey Mouse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Sakuraba.
Mouse swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sakuraba misses with a takedown attempt - Mouse sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mouse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sakuraba manages to avoid it.
Sakuraba slips a jab and a cross from Mouse.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mouse working over Sakuraba with some ground and pound. Sakuraba looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Sakuraba wants to improve his position but Mouse is controlling well.
Mouse looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sakuraba with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mouse is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mouse lands a nice short elbow.

Mouse lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sakuraba quite badly. Sakuraba pulls Mouse in close trying to recover. Mouse postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sakuraba on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sakuraba doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Mickey Mouse decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
