The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Matrix or perhaps it was just good defense by Souvong which made him look bad.
Souvong rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Matrix counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Matrix throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Souvong works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
