The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Tekie scores with a four punch combination!
Tekie lands with a nice combination. Lose backs away looking to recover.

Tekie moves into the clinch successfully.

Tekie has hold of one of Lose's legs. Lose is fighting the takedown attempt but Tekie gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Tekie drops back looking for a leg! Lose is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lose manages to kick Tekie off! Tekie jumps back into Lose's guard.
Tekie forces his way into half guard.
Lose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tekie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lose has eaten all the pies!
Lose is looking to get back to full guard here but Tekie has managed to pass to side control instead.
Tekie cracks Lose with an elbow. That is naaassty.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tekie is working to tighten is grip on Lose's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lose has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tekie is really squeezing tight and eventually Lose passes out! Tekie breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
