Gates is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 9 Piece. Jimbo Slice is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice scores with a sloppy right hand. Gates should have avoided that one.
Slice swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Gates takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Gates closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Slice counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gates thinking.

Gates drives through with a takedown into Slice's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Slice pushes Gates off and scrambles back to his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gates shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Slice as he jumps to the side.
Gates changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slice tries to avoid it but Gates manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slice to the ground. Slice escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Slice fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gates manages to avoid it.
Gates shoots in looking for a takedown but Slice manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gates's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gates has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gates there as he acknowledges the shot.
Slice is looking to wear down Gates with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Slice counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Slice stuns Gates with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Slice throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gates stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Slice lands with a right and another and another! Gates is in big trouble! Slice lands again and this time it's lights out for Gates! A quality knockout there for Slice.
