The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Thomas on the side of the head.
Tyrus Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas throws a hook but Ortiz blocks it.
Thomas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thomas misses with an uppercut. Ortiz saw that one coming.
Thomas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ortizs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Thomas throws the left hand but Ortiz avoids the punch easily.

Ortiz drops Thomas with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Thomas looks back up at him and smiles so Ortiz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Thomas is rocked!

Ortiz drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Thomas right on the button. Thomas goes down! Ortiz follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Ortiz gets the win via TKO!
