Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yosi Sayas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dario Nitiguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yosi Sayas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dario Nitiguchi!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Nitiguchi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sayas looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
No luck for Nitiguchi with that takedown attempt.

Sayas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nitiguchi is looking for a sweep.
Sayas is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nitiguchi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Sayas decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nitiguchi to his feet.
Sayas shoots for a takedown but Nitiguchi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sayas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nitiguchi but Nitiguchi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sayas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nitiguchi's waist but Nitiguchi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sayas off to one side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sayas misses with a two punch combination.
A head kick misses from Nitiguchi.
Nitiguchi misses with an uppercut. Sayas saw that one coming.
Sayas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Nitiguchi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nitiguchi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sayas to see if he's OK.
Sayas parries the strikes from Nitiguchi easily there. Nitiguchi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sayas to escape.

Nitiguchi tries to clinch up but Sayas circles away and keeps his distance.
Sayas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nitiguchi's waist but Nitiguchi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sayas off to one side.
Nitiguchi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sayas paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Sayas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Nitiguchi thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Nitiguchi looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sayas puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Nitiguchi is not content to let Sayas control the position.
Sayas is looking to advance position but Nitiguchi won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sayas lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Nitiguchi.
Sayas lands an elbow inside.

Sayas has Nitiguchi pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sayas pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nitiguchi tumbling to the mat - Sayas dives into Nitiguchi's guard.
Nitiguchi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sayas slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Sayas lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Nitiguchi turns into Sayas and is now in his guard.

Sayas shoots in and bounces Nitiguchi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nitiguchi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sayas wants to control from the top but Nitiguchi keeps moving.

Sayas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nitiguchi, up you get!

Sayas bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Nitiguchi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sayas wants to pass the guard but Nitiguchi is keeping the position.
Nitiguchi is striking but Sayas is not phased and passes to half guard.
Sayas is controlling the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Nitiguchi tries to clinch there but Sayas circles away.
Sayas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Nitiguchi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Sayas counters with a single leg into guard. Nitiguchi didn't expect that.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sayas stands up and waves to Nitiguchi to follow him.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yosi Sayas.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sayas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
