The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carcus's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Carcus is adopting a defensive guard.
King slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carcus wants to stand up but King is controlling him.
King preventing the sweep.
Carcus is controlling King's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Carnivore Carcus just wasn't active enough.

King rushes Carcus and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Carcus blocks a punch to the side of the head.
King keeps control of Carcus as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Carcus is trying to push King away but King has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
King keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carcus's efforts to push away.
King should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

King wants a takedown but no success here.

Carcus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carcus connects with a looping right hand.
King is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carcus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A jab from Carcus finds it's way through King's defenses.
Carcus misses with a series of wild punches.
Carcus listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Carcus lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Feodor King has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King throws a nice looking combination but Carcus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
King shoots and misses
and Carcus counters with a right hand to the body.
Carnivore Carcus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feodor King.
Carcus moves into range and connects with a jab.

Carcus throws a right and a left that King avoids nicely.
Carcus scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
King looks gassed!
King gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
