The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cruz scores with a takedown into Carlssen's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carlssen is on top in guard.
cruz looking for a sweep. Not yet cruz, not yet.
cruz keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom.
Carlssen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
cruz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carlssen is working away from the top position though.
cruz has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Carlssen. Oh but cruz has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Carlssen goes limp - he's gone! cruz jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
