PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rampage Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James VIck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Bon Jovi- Its my Life. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VIck doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
VIck slaps away a takedown attempt from Jackson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
VIck tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes.

VIck clinches with his opponent.
VIck is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jackson fails to pull guard.
VIck tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rampage Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James VIck.

Jackson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jackson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jackson is working an open guard so VIck takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
VIck throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as VIck sprawls well. VIck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.

Jackson wants to improve his position but VIck is controlling well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? VIck is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, VIck circles away and we're back to standing.

VIck has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. VIck pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - VIck dives into Jackson's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
VIck looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

James VIck comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well VIck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
