Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by McCaw.
McCaw keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Regent.
Sloppy strikes from McCaw. Those never looked like landing.
McCaw moves away from the strike by Regent.
Regent slips a jab from McCaw.
McCaw scores with a takedown into Regent's guard.
McCaw postures up and lands a big shot to Regent's brow.

Regent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McCaw has Regent pulled in close to control his posture.
Regent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Regent won't allow McCaw to sweep him here.
McCaw is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Regent is in close to McCaw's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Regent must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Regent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCaw swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McCaw has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Richie McCaw has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

It looks like Prince Regent has been cut.

McCaw needs to keep his hands up - Regent had a free shot at his head there.
Regent throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Regent misses with an uppercut. McCaw saw that one coming.
McCaw takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A big right from Regent misses.
McCaw avoids the body shot from Regent.

and McCaw counters with a single leg into guard. Regent didn't expect that.
Regent wants to sweep but no luck.
Regent keeping moving, preventing McCaw from controlling successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
We're going to have a standup here because Richie McCaw wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
McCaw will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Prince Regent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Regent misses with a series of wild punches.

and McCaw counters with a straight right hand.

Regent misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McCaw.
Regent fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCaw, pushing him back against the cage.
Regent misses with a punch on the inside.
Regent is trying to break the clinch but McCaw has him pressed against the cage.
Regent is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
McCaw lands a takedown into guard.
McCaw's corner is telling him to maintain position.
McCaw working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Regent's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McCaw drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says McCaw as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Regent screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with McCaw! Nice submission victory there!

After winning the bout, Richie McCaw thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
