Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steven Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kane Klasky!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klasky shoots in but Stout avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stout tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Klasky swivels and escapes.
Stout looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Klasky gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Stout counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Klasky!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Stout tries to control but Klasky wriggling away.

Stout gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Stout looks to land a combination but Klasky avoids it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stout stuffs the takedown.
Steven Stout has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kane Klasky.
Klasky fails with the takedown.
Stout takes a swing at Klasky's ribcage but misses.

Stout goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Klasky shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stout pinned against the cage. Stout gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Klasky looks gassed!
Klasky doesn't manage to clinch there - Stout circles away.
Stout tries to close the distance and clinch up but Klasky swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stout wants to clinch up but Klasky keeps it at a distance.

Stout has taken the fight to the clinch.

Stout pulls Klasky into guard.
Klasky throws an elbow that misses. Stout uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Klasky's guard. Nice move by Stout!
Klasky has a closed guard, preventing Stout from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Klasky looking for a guillotine here but Stout defends easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stout is looking to stand up but Klasky won't let him.
Klasky striking off his back.
Stout wants to stand and escape but instead Klasky has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Stout is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Stout tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Klasky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stout is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Stout is trying to pull guard but Klasky has him pressed against the cage.

Stout pulls guard effortlessly.

Klasky postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stout is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Klasky, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stout wants to stand but Klasky has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Klasky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stout defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Stout stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Nice sprawl there from Stout as Klasky shoots in.
Klasky gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stout.
Steven Stout seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stout throws a series of punches but Klasky moves out of range.
Stout scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Stout throws a one two combo.
Stout with a nice cross.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Klasky shoots in for a takedown but Stout shows good takedown defense.
Stout lands with a nice combination. Klasky backs away looking to recover.
Klasky takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Stout dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Klasky shoots in and drives through. Stout sprawls well.
Stout lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Klasky circles away quickly and effectively.
Steven Stout is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Klasky takes one to the side of the head.
Stout swinging wildly here.

Stout shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stout showed some decent athleticism there.
Stout wants to stand up but Klasky manages to regain full guard.

Klasky is looking for a triangle but Stout pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Klasky is working an open guard so Stout takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Klasky is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Klasky drops his hands momentarily and Stout takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Klasky misses with a takedown
and Stout counters with a straight right hand.
Stout misses with a few strikes there.
Stout throws a right and a left that Klasky avoids nicely.
Klasky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stout avoids it really well and circles away.
Steven Stout has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kane Klasky.
Stout moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Klasky has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Klasky there as he acknowledges the shot.

Klasky takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Stout is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Klasky's half guard.

Klasky looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Stout stands up and beckons Klasky to join him on the feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Stout throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Klasky was covering up waiting for the punch and Stout finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Stout wants to get up but he can't break Klasky's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Klasky throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Klasky looking for a sweep. Not yet Klasky, not yet.
Klasky has a closed guard, preventing Stout from standing up.

Klasky looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stout gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Stout misses with the combination.
Stout has a takedown stuffed.
Stout swinging wildly here.
Klasky tries to close the distance and clinch but Stout swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stout catches Klasky with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Klasky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Stout on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stout tries to get out of the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stout pushes Klasky off looking to stand but Klasky dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Stout dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Stout tries to bum rush Klasky with a series of wild strikes but Klasky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stout throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Stout gets caught napping as Klasky dives in and scores a takedown. Stout manages to retain guard.
Stout preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Stout is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Klasky is controlling him.
Klasky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Klasky with a flurry of punches that miss.
Stout is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Klasky dives into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Klasky tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Steven Stout overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Klasky lands a decent elbow from side control.
Stout regains half guard, as Klasky was trying to land strikes.
Stout is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stout has one foot on Klasky's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Stout thows a body shot but no joy.
Klasky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stout avoids it really well and circles away.

Stout gets a takedown into half guard.
Stout tries to stand and escape but Klasky actually recovers to full guard.
Stout wants to stand but Klasky has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Klasky pushes a forearm under Stout's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Stout is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kane Klasky!
