The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gambini takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gambini avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ray Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hall scores with a jab to the jaw.
Gambini shoots in for a double leg but Hall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gambini circles away quickly and effectively.
Hall lands a jab.
Hall lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hall lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gambini on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gambini scores with a kick to the midsection.
Hall moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Gambini drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hall pushes Gambini away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gambini gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
You can see the frustration on Hall's face as Gambini controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gambini has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hall is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gambini yanks on the arm and Hall is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gambini.
