Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Plante takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
La Plante closes the distance and pushes Cartman back into the cage.
Cartman is trying to break the clinch but La Plante has him pressed against the cage.
La Plante works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Cartman keeping moving, preventing La Plante from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cartman wants to stand up but La Plante is controlling him.
La Plante postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
La Plante throwing strikes from guard but Cartman blocks nicely.
La Plante slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
La Plante stops Cartman from standing up.
Cartman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for La Plante on the ground.
La Plante is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
La Plante stands up over Cartman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

La Plante gets in close and instigates a clinch.
La Plante's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cartman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
La Plante ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cartman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by La Plante.

Cartman tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and La Plante is able to avoid easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cartman looks to land a left hand but La Plante moved out of range nicely.

Cartman throws a half hearted mid kick.
Cartman fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but La Plante is out of range.
La Plante misses with a head kick.
Cartman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
La Plante explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
