Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Verne throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Verne misses with a looping left.
Jobber could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Verne misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johannes Verne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jobber does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jobber looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Verne is fending him off so far but Jobber persists. Nope, Verne circles away and we're back to standing.
A shot to the liver by Verne. Beautiful body shot.
Verne turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jobber wants to clinch up but Verne keeps it at a distance.
No luck for Jobber with that takedown attempt.

Verne closes the distance and clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Verne creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jobber fails to pull guard.

Verne gets underhooks to prevent Jobber's takedown attempt.
Verne tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Verne lands an elbow that stopped Jobber in his tracks for a moment.

Clinched against the cage, Verne lands a big elbow that drops Jobber! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Jobber is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
