Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnham finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Barnham throws a head kick that misses.
Rutger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rutger shoots in looking for a takedown. Barnham tries to sprawl out of it but Rutger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barnham manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ben Barnham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnham thumps Rutger with a low kick.
Barnham thuds his right hand into Rutger's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Barnham throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rutger's head.

It looks like Gerlach Rutger has been cut.

Barnham lands a nice hook to Rutger's body. Rutger takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Barnham lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rutger circles away quickly and effectively.
Barnham moves into range and connects with a jab.
A punch lands to the side of Rutger 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Barnham tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Barnham throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Rutger stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Barnham follows into mount!
Oh Rutger is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rutger wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Barnham.

Barnham looking to ground and pound but Rutger is blocking nicely.
Rutger seems to have got his legs back now.
BOOM! Barnham connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Barnham unloads with some shots from mount but Rutger bucks and avoids them well.

Barnham throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Poor strikes thrown by Barnham there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Rutger slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barnham throws a combination. Rutger tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Barnham jabs Rutger to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Barnham connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Rutger tumbling to the canvas! Barnham pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Rutger was done - good stoppage!

Ben Barnham really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that CEC Nutrition Q159 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
