PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taka Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cetnik Milos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milos has chosen Snot - My Balls as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taka Tanaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cetnik Milos!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Milos or perhaps it was just good defense by Tanaka which made him look bad.
Milos blocks a jab.
Milos wants to clinch but Tanaka slips to the side
and Tanaka counters with a nice body kick.
Milos moves out of range of the strikes.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tanaka.
A thudding body kick lands there by Tanaka!
The fight stays on the outside here - Milos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cetnik Milos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Milos wants to clinch.
Milos takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Milos moves in looking to clinch but Tanaka pushes him off.
Tanaka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Milos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Milos has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tanaka presses Milos against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Tanaka is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Milos can't find room to land a body shot as Tanaka controls the action.
Milos tries to stall but Tanaka uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tanaka's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Tanaka works over Milos with some ground and pound from guard.

Tanaka thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Tanaka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Milos drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Tanaka counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Milos darts in and clinches Tanaka up against the cage.
Tanaka misses with a hook from the clinch.

Milos works on Tanaka's body with a couple of short punches.
Milos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tanaka avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Taka Tanaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cetnik Milos.
Milos lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A left hand lands to the body for Milos.
Tanaka looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Milos turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Milos manages to end up in side control.
Milos misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Milos tries to move to mount but Tanaka blocks the move with his legs.
Tanaka can't do much from the bottom here.
Milos throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Tanaka sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Milos working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Tanaka's thigh. Tanaka counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Milos's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Milos won't allow Tanaka to sweep him here.
Milos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Taka Tanaka will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tanaka scores with the left hand. Milos knows he should have avoided that one.
Tanaka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circling - Tanaka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Milos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tanaka misses with a wild body shot.
Tanaka scores with a nice strike.
Tanaka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tanaka tests Milos's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Milos walks into a left hand.
Milos is looking to clinch but Tanaka is avoiding it.
Tanaka has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Milos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Milos shoots for a double leg takedown but Tanaka sprawls well. He's pushed Milos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tanaka. Milos does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tanaka takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Milos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

letting Tanaka counter with a right hand.

Milos is rocked!
Milos wants to clinch but Tanaka slips to the side
and Tanaka counters with a body kick.
Milos is still on wobbly legs! Can Tanaka finish him?
Milos is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tanaka throws a big shot that misses.
Milos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tanaka.
Tanaka misses with a straight left.
Cetnik Milos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Milos defending well as Tanaka loads up on a big left hand.
Tanaka throws an overhand right that lands on Milos's shoulder, as Milos tries to avoid the shot.
Milos is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Tanaka Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Milos is out cold, face down on the mat!
