Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ebeneser Horowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ebeneser Horowitz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Horowitz has managed to clinch.
Burns misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Horowitz.
Horowitz stops a takedown attempt from Burns.
Horowitz jumps guard but Burns stands there with Horowitz around his waist. Horowitz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Burns looking to throw knees to the head but Horowitz is blocking nicely.
Burns lands a knee to the body.

Burns manages to pull guard.
Horowitz trying to control the position from guard on top but Burns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Burns is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Horowitz looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Burns not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burns is looking for a triangle but Horowitz pushes his legs off easily.

Burns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horowitz is stalling in the full guard.

Burns wants to hit a switch here but Horowitz passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Burns there!

Burns could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Burns is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Horowitz blocks the strikes from Burns.
Burns wants to control but Horowitz is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Burns is breathing heavily.
Horowitz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Let's hope that Horowitz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Horowitz blocks the strikes from Burns.

Burns wants to improve his position but Horowitz is controlling well.

Burns tries to roll over but Horowitz keeps him under control.

Burns looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Horowitz pushes past his half guard into mount!
Burns gives up his back whilst trying to strike.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Burns is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Can Burns hold on?! Horowitz is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Burns tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Burns is looking to get to half guard.
Burns wants to hold on but Horowitz pushes him away.
Burns regains half guard.
Burns wants to control but Horowitz is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Horowitz wants to pass the guard but Burns is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ebeneser Horowitz will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Burns shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Horowitz but Horowitz pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Burns decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Horowitz's guard.

Horowitz is pulling down on Burns's head. It's preventing any offense from Burns, at least for the moment.
Burns cracks Horowitz with a solid left hand.
Burns wants to control from the top but Horowitz keeps moving.

Burns drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Horowitz dives on top into guard.

Burns wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Burns has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Horowitz is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Burns.
Horowitz moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Burns is pushing Horowitz's head away, looking to escape. Horowitz manages to hold on to the position though.
Burns is looking to regain half guard here but Horowitz keeps moving and retains side control.

Burns is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Horowitz defends it well.

Burns is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Horowitz is just riding it out for now. Burns eventually gives up the hold.
Horowitz regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Burns.

Burns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Burns works over Horowitz with some ground and pound from guard.
Horowitz keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.

Burns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Burns counters with a takedown into side control.
Burns wants to control but Horowitz is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Horowitz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Horowitz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Burns's best efforts.

Burns moves into full mount! Horowitz won't be happy about that!

A nice elbow there by Burns.

Burns is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Horowitz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Horowitz!

Horowitz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Horowitz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burns swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horowitz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Brett Burns dominated that second round.
That's time! Burns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Horowitz shoots in and drives through. Burns sprawls well.
Horowitz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Burns makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Horowitz really felt that one!
Burns throws a right hand that Horowitz ducks under and follows up with a left that Horowitz also avoids with ease.

and Burns counters with a left and a right that stings Horowitz.
Brett Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ebeneser Horowitz.

Burns has momentary wrist control but Horowitz slips an elbow through the middle.

Horowitz is in close to Burns's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Burns is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Horowitz off and has taken his back!

It looks like Ebeneser Horowitz has been cut.

Horowitz is refusing to be controlled, as Burns sits in half guard.
Horowitz wants to improve his position but Burns is controlling well.

Burns is looking to take a break and control but Horowitz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Burns lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Burns wants to pass the guard but Horowitz is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Horowitz feints and as Burns raises his hands in defense, Horowitz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Burns is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Horowitz is controlling him.

Horowitz is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Burns!

I would just about give that final round to Ebeneser Horowitz.
I think Horowitz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
