The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bantum looks to land a combination. Sproston sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Vinnie Sproston has been cut.
Sproston scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Sproston throws a sloppy head kick and Bantum moves out of range easily.
Sproston throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sproston looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Bantum drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sproston is trying to keep Bantum in close.

Bantum stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sproston swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Bantum gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bantum decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Sproston looks gassed!

Bantum closes the distance and pushes Sproston back into the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bantum.
A short uppercut from Bantum.
Sproston is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Bantum manages to pull guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sproston gets to his feet. Bantum looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bantum pushes Sproston up against the cage in a clinch.

Bantum turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bantum manages to end up in side control.

Bantum decides to stand back up. Bantum steps back and let's Sproston get back to his feet.
Sproston looks for the body kick but Bantum saw that one coming.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Bantum closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bantum is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sproston is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
