Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Thomason lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Thomason misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gracie.
Thomason tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Thomason.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royce Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Thomason scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The crowd cheers as Thomason lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gracie doesn't seem phased though.
Gracie avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Thomason misses with a double jab.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thomason tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thomason to the ground. Thomason escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Thomason throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Gracie takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Thomason.
Thomason lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Thomason thumps Gracie with a low kick.
Thomason misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomason misses with a two punch combination.
Thomason misses with a double jab.

Thomason scores with a nice body kick.
A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Luke Thomason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomason throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Thomason.
Thomason throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thomason looks gassed!
Gracie tries for a takedown but Thomason sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thomason misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Thomason throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
Gracie shoots in and bounces Thomason off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gracie stays in close to Thomason's body and controls the position.

Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Thomason is retaining full guard.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Thomason defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - Thomason is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!
