Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Janatan misses
and Grigorev makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Janatan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Janatan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Grigorev counter with a right hand.
Janatan throws a half hearted mid kick.
Janatan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Grigorev moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Grigorev misses with a double jab.
A right-left combo lands from Grigorev.
Janatan throws a lazy head kick
and Grigorev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Grigorev dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Janatan. That did some damage!
Grigorev slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Janatan throws a head kick that half lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grigorev throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Janatan.

and Grigorev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Grigorev feints and then cracks Janatan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Janatan down.

Grigorev lands a jab-cross combination.
Janatan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Grigorev counters with a nice low kick that buckles Janatan's knee momentarily.
Grigorev scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Janatan has his takedown stuffed
and Grigorev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Janatan is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grigorev lands with a kick to the temple. Janatan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Grigorev stuns Janatan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Grigorev moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Grigorev is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Janatan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Grigorev scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Grigorev thuds a left hand into Janatan's body.
Grigorev is looking to slow Janatan down with leg kicks.

Grigorev works over Janatan's head and body with a nice combination.
Grigorev lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Janatan backs up against the cage.
Grigorev feints a jab promting Janatan to slip. Grigorev then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Janatan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Janatan is rocked!
A nice leg kick lands there from Grigorev.
Janatan takes a kick to the side of the head.
Oh Janatan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Grigorev gets in close and tags Janatan with a short punch that almost sends Janatan to the mat! Oh Janatan is in big trouble! He turns his back on Grigorev, trying to create some distance but Grigorev rushes him, striking wildly and Janatan goes down! The referee tackles Grigorev into the cage to end the fight! Grigorev is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nicolai Grigorev!
Our winner, Nicolai Grigorev, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
