The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirvonen shoots in looking for a takedown. Lamzak tries to sprawl out of it but Hirvonen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lamzak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hirvonen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lamzak counters with a head kick.
Hirvonen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lamzak is fending him off so far but Hirvonen persists. Nope, Lamzak circles away and we're back to standing.
Dielange Lamzak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juka Hirvonen.
No luck for Hirvonen with that takedown attempt.

Hirvonen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Hirvonen stands up and beckons Lamzak to his feet.
Lamzak moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A bone on bone clash there as Lamzak blocks the leg kick.
Hirvonen has his takedown stuffed
and Lamzak counters with a leg kick.
Hirvonen looks gassed!
Lamzak pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dielange Lamzak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hirvonen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A head kick misses from Lamzak.
Hirvonen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lamzak as he jumps to the side.
Hirvonen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lamzak swivels and escapes.
Hirvonen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lamzak avoids it really well and circles away.
Hirvonen has a takedown stuffed.
Juka Hirvonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lamzak looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lamzak leaves Hirvonen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lamzak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hirvonen fails with the takedown

and Lamzak counters with a flying knee that drops Hirvonen!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lamzak decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hirvonen, up you get!
A punch combination from Hirvonen misses.
Hirvonen throws a series of punches but Lamzak avoids them all with ease.
Lamzak circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hirvonen drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Lamzak follows Hirvonen to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
