The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Demerson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Demerson is trying to control. Hancock wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hancock is trying is best to control the position here.

Hancock kicks Demerson off and gets back to his feet.
Hancock misses with a head kick.
Hancock pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Demerson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hancock sprawls well initially but Demerson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Demerson throws a strike but Hancock avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Demerson tries to free his leg and advance position but Hancock is retaining full guard.
Hancock is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hancock wants to get back to his feet but Demerson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hancock pushes Demerson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hancock tries to land a front kick but Demerson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Demerson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Demerson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hancock was covering up waiting for the punch and Demerson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Demerson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hancock had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Demerson defends it easily.

Hancock has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Demerson doesn't defend quickly enough and Hancock has managed to lock this one up! Can Demerson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hancock on a fantastic submission victory.
