Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AJ Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hit Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styles comes into the arena with I am blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Styles counters with a left and a right that stings Lee.
Styles scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lee with a lazy takedown attempt
and Styles counters with a big head kick but Lee shrugs it off.
Lee misses with a takedown
and Styles counters with a three punch combo that has Lee backing up. Lee nods at Styles to acknowledge the strikes.
AJ Styles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hit Lee.
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Styles moves into the clinch.
Styles lands a right hand.

Styles's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice takedown defense from Styles. No joy for Lee on that attempt.
Styles throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lee's head.

Lee gets tackled into the cage by Styles. Styles maintains the clinch.

Styles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Styles is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Hit Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Styles wants to clinch up but Lee keeps it at a distance.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Styles shows good takedown defense.
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Styles holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Styles manages to break the clinch.
Lee throws a head kick that misses.
A combination from Styles does no damage.
Styles moves to clinch but Lee breaks away

so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Styles wants to stand up but Lee is controlling him.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Styles is keeping the position.
Lee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Styles keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
Lee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Lee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Styles is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Styles has escaped and now he's on top!

Lee pushes a forearm under Styles's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Styles is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
