Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Risto Pasila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Kowalonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pasila's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pasila fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Marek Kowalonka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kowalonka wants to clinch up but Pasila keeps it at a distance.
Kowalonka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pasila paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pasila closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pasila lands in his opponent's guard.
Kowalonka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pasila. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pasila controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kowalonka wants to get back to his feet but Pasila is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pasila is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Pasila seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kowalonka is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
