Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steffan Bonnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mookie Hamfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mookie Hamfist is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bonnar scores with a takedown into Hamfist's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hamfist is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Bonnar throws a big elbow that misses.

Bonnar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bonnar wants it to stay on the feet.
Steffan Bonnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mookie Hamfist.
Hamfist throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bonnar's waist but Bonnar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hamfist off to one side.
Bonnar shoots in for a takedown but Hamfist shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bonnar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bonnar scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hamfist doesn't seem bothered though.

Bonnar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hamfist is trying to defend but Bonnar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hamfist can do anything to dispel that myth.

Steffan Bonnar has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Hamfist is looking to clinch but Bonnar is avoiding it.
Hamfist on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bonnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hamfist circles away.

Bonnar throws a head kick but Hamfist moves out of range.
Hamfist wants to clinch.

Hamfist has managed to clinch.
Bonnar prevents the takedown attempt.
Hamfist blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Bonnar is pressed up against the cage. Hamfist has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bonnar down to the mat. Bonnar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bonnar shoots in and drives through. Hamfist sprawls well.
Bonnar shoots in for a takedown but Hamfist shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hamfist closes the distance and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bonnar is trying to break the clinch but Hamfist has him pressed against the cage.
Hamfist is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Bonnar works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamfist shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bonnar as he jumps to the side.

Hamfist scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Hamfist frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bonnar tries to hold on but Hamfist pushes him away.
Bonnar regains half guard.
Bonnar moves into full guard.
Bonnar has momentary wrist control but Hamfist slips an elbow through the middle.
Hamfist is working Bonnar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bonnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bonnar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hamfist looking to sit in guard and control but Bonnar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hamfist is breathing heavily.
Bonnar stands and throws Hamfist's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A lull in the action here as Bonnar stalls from top position.
Hamfist wants to control but Bonnar postures up.
Hamfist tries to bench press Bonnar off him but Bonnar keeps the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bonnar decides to stand back up.
Hamfist doesn't manage to clinch there - Bonnar circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Hamfist. No joy for Bonnar on that attempt.
Hamfist moves in looking to clinch but Bonnar pushes him off.

Hamfist shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
