The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salmon.
No joy there for Zegan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Salmon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silver Salmon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salmon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zegan's waist but Zegan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salmon off to one side.
Maciej Zegan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silver Salmon.
Salmon misses with a straight left.
Salmon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Zegan instigates a clinch.

Zegan lands an elbow that stopped Salmon in his tracks for a moment.

and Zegan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Salmon shoots in for a takedown but Zegan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Zegan rushes Salmon and presses him up against the cage.
Salmon is still on wobbly legs! Can Zegan finish him?

Still in the clinch, Zegan scores with a nice short uppercut.
Zegan lands with a short shot to the head.

Zegan breaks from the clinch.
Zegan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Salmon fails with the takedown
and Zegan scores with a counter punch that sends Salmon to the canvas! Zegan smells blood - he's punishing Salmon with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Salmon has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
