Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dana Kuksugare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dana Kuksugare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Willie Davidson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuksugare shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Davidson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Davidson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Davidson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Davidson tries to clinch there but Kuksugare circles away.
Kuksugare tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davidson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kuksugare somewhat.

Davidson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davidson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kuksugare moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Davidson counters by moving into the clinch.
Kuksugare has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davidson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Davidson tries a knee to the head but Kuksugare blocks it.

Davidson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Davidson is controlling Kuksugare's posture.

Davidson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Willie Davidson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

so Kuksugare counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Davidson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kuksugare shoots in looking for a takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl out of it but Kuksugare keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davidson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kuksugare avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Davidson feints and as Kuksugare raises his hands in defense, Davidson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davidson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Davidson wants to stand and escape but instead Kuksugare has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kuksugare drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kuksugare jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Davidson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Willie Davidson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Davidson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kuksugare, pushing him back against the cage.

Davidson has hold of one of Kuksugare's legs. Kuksugare is fighting the takedown attempt but Davidson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Davidson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuksugare. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davidson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Davidson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Davidson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kuksugare is able to avoid easily.

Davidson has picked Kuksugare up - he's going for a ride! Davidson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kuksugare has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davidson is working away from the top position though.

Kuksugare is refusing to be controlled, as Davidson sits in half guard.

Willie Davidson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Kuksugare shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davidson but Davidson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Davidson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kuksugare back to the cage. Davidson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Davidson shoots in looking for a takedown but Kuksugare manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davidson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Dana Kuksugare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willie Davidson.
Davidson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kuksugare shoots in looking for a takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl out of it but Kuksugare keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davidson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Davidson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davidson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kuksugare drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Davidson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kuksugare has Davidson in his guard.
Davidson wanted to stand there but Kuksugare had control of the position.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kuksugare enables Davidson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kuksugare manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Davidson wants to get up but he can't break Kuksugare's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kuksugare thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Willie Davidson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Davidson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
