The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Amorim.
Rua looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Rua shoots in and bounces Amorim off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Amorim keeping moving, preventing Rua from controlling successfully.
Amorim lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rua!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Amorim trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Amorim is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rua is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Rua is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Amorim is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rua can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Rua holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Amorim tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Amorim wants to finish this one by submission but Rua is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Amorim.
Amorim throwing strikes here but Rua is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Amorim throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rua has his hands clasped together but Amorim breaks the hold and Rua is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Amorim!
