Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurokawa Kenji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry has chosen Run For Cover as his entrance music. Kurokawa Kenji could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lee Perry's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kurokawa Kenji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Perry!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry checks the leg kick.
Perry fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kenji is out of range.

Perry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kenji.
Perry misses the shot to the body.
No luck for Perry with that takedown attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kenji lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Perry has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Perry and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kenji lunges at Perry with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Perry's hand.
Kenji leaves Perry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kenji lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Perry at a distance.

Kenji thuds his right hand into Perry's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kenji on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kenji uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Perry.

Perry avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kenji lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kenji on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Perry. Perry obviously looking to wear him down.
Perry takes a swing at Kenji's ribcage but misses.
Kenji keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kurokawa Kenji has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Perry.
Donk. Kenji catches Perry right on the button with a cross.

Perry throws a lazy right hand but Kenji sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kenji clobbers Perry with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Lee Perry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Kenji as Perry shoots in.
Kenji keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Perry dives in and grabs Kenji's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kenji pushes down on Perry's head and hops out.
Kenji tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Perry was well out of range. Poor timing from Kenji.

Kurokawa Kenji is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Perry lands a nice hook to Kenji's body. Kenji takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kenji takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Kenji might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Perry is looking to stall here but Kenji recovers full guard.
Kenji has his hands on Perry's head, controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lee Perry will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Perry throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kenji.
Kenji thows a body shot but no joy.
Perry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Perry lands the left hand.
Kenji scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kenji misses with a hook.
Kenji fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Perry has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kenji sizes up Perry with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kurokawa Kenji is winning the standup battle so far.
Kenji just misses with a punch to the body.
Perry bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kenji's head.
Perry lands a nice shot that snaps Kenji's head back.

Kenji throws a solid leg kick but Perry takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kenji.

Kenji throws a front kick aimed at Perry's knee but Perry avoids it well.
A head kick from Kenji lands but Perry takes it in his stride.
Perry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kenji manages to avoid it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Perry has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kenji finds it's way round the side to connect with Perry's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Perry throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kenji works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Perry wants to pass the guard but Kenji is keeping the position.

Perry lands a couple of digs.
Kenji controlling the position.
Perry trying to control but Kenji is working from the bottom.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Perry shoots in looking for a takedown but Kenji manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Perry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lee Perry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Perry has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lee Perry decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
