The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hirvonen.
Hirvonen digs a good body shot into Watson's ribs.
Hirvonen scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Thomas Watson has been cut.
Hirvonen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hirvonen throws a strike aimed at the side of Watson's head but Watson avoids it well.

Hirvonen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Hirvonen throws a strike but Watson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hirvonen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Watson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hirvonen throws out a loose jab but Watson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Watson avoids the body shot from Hirvonen.
Good leg kick by Watson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Watson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hirvonen backwards.

Hirvonen is rocked!
Watson creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hirvonen's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hirvonen drops to his knees and Watson pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
