Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Udalov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Udalov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Filip Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Udalov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Udalov postures up.

Udalov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kowalski gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kowalski creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Udalov's defenses.


It looks like Sergey Udalov has been cut.
Kowalski is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kowalski can't find room to land a body shot as Udalov controls the action.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Udalov.
Kowalski pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Udalov tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kowalski is trying to drag Udalov to the mat but Udalov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Udalov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kowalski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Kowalski misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Udalov.

Udalov gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Udalovis looking to pass into half guard but Kowalski pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kowalski is in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kowalski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kowalski looking to sit in guard and control but Udalov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Udalov has gone for a leg lock! Kowalski slips out almost immediately though and dives into Udalov's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Udalov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kowalski defends well.
Kowalski wants to stand and escape but instead Udalov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Udalov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kowalski fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Udalov darts in and clinches Kowalski up against the cage.
Kowalski content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kowalski misses with a hook from the clinch.
Kowalski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kowalski jumps into guard, dragging Udalov to the mat.

Udalov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kowalski manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Udalov has Kowalski in his guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sergey Udalov will probably get the nod.

That's time! Udalov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Udalov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Udalov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kowalski has him pressed against the cage.
Kowalski tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Udalov just stands there and leans against the cage.
Udalov misses with some punches.
Kowalski lands an elbow just above Udalov 's eye.
Udalov is trying to break the clinch but Kowalski has him pressed against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kowalski as Udalov tries to tie him up.

Udalov has hold of one of Kowalski's legs. Kowalski is fighting the takedown attempt but Udalov gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Udalov looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Udalov wants to control from the top but Kowalski keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sergey Udalov wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kowalski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Udalov avoids it really well and circles away.
Udalov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kowalski circles away.
Kowalski cracks Udalov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Udalov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kowalski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Udalov.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Udalov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kowalski!

Kowalski tries to hold on but Udalov pushes him away.
Kowalski has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Udalov's lack of action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kowalski is trying to get back to full guard.
Udalov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Udalov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Udalov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Udalov postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kowalski to stand up.
Kowalski doesn't manage to clinch there - Udalov circles away.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Udalov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Filip Kowalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kowalski moves out of range of the leg kick from Udalov.
Udalov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kowalski as he avoids it easily.
Kowalski tries to clinch but Udalov moves out of range.
Udalov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kowalski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kowalski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Udalov walks away with a smile on his face. Kowalski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Udalov leaves Kowalski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kowalski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch but Udalov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kowalski lands with a nice combination. Udalov backs away looking to recover.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kowalski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kowalski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Udalov stands and steps away. Kowalski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Filip Kowalski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sergey Udalov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Udalov keeping moving, preventing Kowalski from controlling successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sergey Udalov showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Udalov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
