The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yates throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Frenchy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yates is in Frenchy's guard.

Frenchy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Yates passes into side control.
Frenchy tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Yates can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Frenchy is looking to escape.
Frenchy really wants to buck Yates off and get back to his feet.
Frenchy tries to hold on but Yates postures up.
Yates controlling his opponent.
Yates lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Yates sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Frenchy tries to improve his position but instead Yates has taken his back!
Yates struggling to keep hold of the position.
Yates is punishing Frenchy with some ground and pound.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
It looks like Yates might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yates lands a shot to the head.

Yates has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Frenchy! Can he survive? No! He's out! Yates gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
