PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drago Solovyov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Fisherman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solovyov comes into the arena with Crawling by Linkin Park blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisherman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fighters circling - Fisherman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Solovyov slaps away a takedown attempt from Fisherman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fisherman tries to clinch up but Solovyov circles away and keeps his distance.
A left lands for Solovyov.
Fisherman throws a series of punches but Solovyov moves out of range.
Fisherman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fisherman throws a sloppy head kick and Solovyov moves out of range easily.
Fisherman shoots in for a takedown but Solovyov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Drago Solovyov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Fisherman.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fisherman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Solovyov throws a head kick that misses.
Fisherman has a takedown stuffed.
Solovyov throws a head kick but Fisherman moves out of range.
Solovyov moves out of range of the leg kick from Fisherman.
Fisherman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Solovyov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Solovyov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Solovyov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Solovyov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fisherman sprawling to the canvas! Fisherman rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Solovyov finish him?!

Fisherman is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fisherman is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Solovyov doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Fisherman crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Fisherman's bad books for that mishap!
