The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speechley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Miller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Speechley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miller is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Speechley, into his guard.

Speechley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Speechley looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Miller has picked Speechley up and slammed him! Speechley can't keep hold of the triangle and Miller manages to pass to side control!

Miller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Speechley is having to fend off submission attempts from Miller, who is looking to sink in the choke. Miller doesn't have the hooks in though and Speechley manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Speechley has Miller pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Miller manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Miller shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Miller was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

A very excited looking Jason Miller rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
