PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shileds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Timmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shileds comes to the cage accompanied by Remeber the Name. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Shileds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bart Timmons!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timmons with a poor takedown
and Shileds counters with a left and a right that stings Timmons.

Shileds scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Shileds misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Shileds stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Bart Timmons showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Timmons sneaks out the side door and pushes Shileds away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Shileds throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Timmons.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shileds looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Timmons!

Timmons takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Shileds.
I think Shileds has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
