Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Howard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Howard misses with a right hand
and Liddell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Howard misses with a lunging right hand
and Liddell makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Liddell throws a series of punches but Howard moves out of range.
Howard misses with a hook
and Liddell counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Liddell moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Liddell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Liddell is looking to clinch but Howard is avoiding it.

A decent looking cross lands there for Howard.
Liddell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Howard rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Liddell counters by clinching up.

Liddell is trying to break the clinch but Howard has him pressed against the ropes.

Howard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Howard loads up on a big right hand but Liddell slips the punch.

Howard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Liddell.
Howard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Liddell sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Howard swings widly with a right hand
and Liddell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Dwight Howard has been cut.
Dwight Howard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Liddell.

Liddell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Howard, pushing him back against the ropes.
Howard keeps control of Liddell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Liddell can't break the clinch.
Howard will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Liddell up against the ropes.

Howard drops his hands momentarily and Liddell takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Liddell moves in looking to clinch but Howard pushes him off.
