Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Scull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrison King has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Scull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harrison King!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scull thows a left - swing and a miss!
A leg kick checked by King.
Scull tries to clinch up but King circles away and keeps his distance.
Scull tries a head kick but it misses.
Scull is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.

King closes the distance and pushes Scull back into the cage.

King successfully pulls guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
King trying to control the position.
King is pulling down on Scull's head to control his posture.

Harrison King has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
King will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scull tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Scull pivots, looking for a leg kick but King is out of range and Scull settles back down.
Scull pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick by Scull misses

and King counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Scull avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
King is standing up over Scull. Scull looks to escape but King dives into side control.
King controlling from side mount.
King creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

King tries to move into full mount but can't pass Scull's legs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

King is trying to ground and pound but Scull uses the momentary lack of control by King to regain half guard.

Scull is trying to control but can't.

King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

King is looking for a kimura but Scull is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for King to get the leverage.
Scull is in trouble now - King has advanced to mount!
Scull looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Scull tries to lock up and control but King gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison King dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Scull misses with a knee to the head.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for King. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
King tries for a takedown. No joy.
King is working for takedown but Scull is calmly controlling the position for now.
Scull is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. King is defending well for now.
Scull tries a knee to the head but King blocks it.
Scull tries to land a knee to the head but King blocks with his arms.
Scull using the Thai plumb to throw knees but King has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
King jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Scull walks away with a smile on his face. King gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jason Scull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harrison King.

Scull has King up against the cage in a clinch.
Scull with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
King lands a hook to the side of the head.
Scull misses with a knee to the head.
King is working for takedown but Scull is calmly controlling the position for now.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Scull takes the fight into the clinch.

King drags the fight down to the ground.

King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Scull wants to stand but King has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Scull wasn't doing enough on the ground.
King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Scull sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat.
A head kick misses from Scull.
Scull misses with a low kick.
King will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

King darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
King is looking to take a break and control but Scull is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

King throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Scull to regain full guard.
Scull can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as King controls the pace.
Scull not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
King working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
King passes Scull's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
King not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Scull's head.
Still in half guard, King seems content to control.
Scull won't allow King to pass to mount.
King throwing shots but Scull is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scull keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
King working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scull is trying to defend against the ground and pound but King scores with a couple of nice shots.
King lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


King misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Scull looks to score with a jab to the body but King is just out of range.
Jason Scull is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Scull will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
King paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Scull fakes a jab and throws a low kick but King checks it well.
Scull tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Jab, jab by Scull - just one landing.
A punch lands to the side of Scull 's head but he takes it in his stride.
King shoots in but no luck this time.
King shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Scull defends it nicely.

King closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scull did well to prevent King getting side control.
King with the ground and pound but Scull uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells King's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
King throws a big elbow that misses.
Scull being controlled here, momentarily.
Scull wants to stand but King is controlling the position.

King keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Scull's head.
Scull is looking to stand up but King isn't so interested in that idea.
King trying to control but Scull is working from the bottom.
King landing with the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Scull's guard.
King throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
King lands strikes from half guard.
Harrison King has got the better of the ground game so far.
King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Scull does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
King passes to full mount!
King connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Poor strikes thrown by King there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Jason Scull has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

King thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
King controlling his opponent.
King scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Harrison King is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
King controlling the pace for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harrison King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got King winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
