Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Ludo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ludo tries to close the distance and clinch but Rasputin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ludo tries to clinch but Rasputin is having none of it.

Rasputin drops Ludo with a nice combination! Rasputin dives into Ludo's guard, looking to finish!

Ludo is rocked!

Rasputin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ludo is still in real trouble! Can Rasputin finish him?
Rasputin pushes down on Ludo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rasputin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Ludo seems to have recovered his senses.
Rasputin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Rasputin is looking for a kimura but Ludo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rasputin to get the leverage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rasputin lands with a hook. Ludo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ludo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ludo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Rasputin cracks Ludo with a good jab.
Ludo wants to clinch.

Ludo moves in looking to clinch but Rasputin pushes him off.
Rasputin catches Ludo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Rasputin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rasputin is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rasputin stalks Ludo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ludo's face. Ludo staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rasputin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ludo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rasputin throws an overhand right that lands on Ludo's shoulder, as Ludo tries to avoid the shot.
Ludo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ludo looks gassed!
Rasputin scores with a body shot.
Rasputin's corner calls for a 1-2. Rasputin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ludo walks into a jab.
Rasputin throws a one two combo.
Rasputin lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ludo falls backwards - clearly groggy! Rasputin dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
