The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ngo circles away from the clinch attempt

and Ngo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Williams wants to get back to his feet but Ngo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ngo drops back looking for a leg! Williams is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Williams manages to kick Ngo off! Ngo jumps back into Williams's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ngo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ngo gets to his feet - Williams follows without any prompting.

Williams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ngo controls the pace.
Ngo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams is looking to improve his position but Ngo isn't that keen on the idea.

Williams tries to hold on but Ngo pushes him away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ngo won't let Williams get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Williams can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams is squirming around, avoiding Ngo's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Williams is in a horrible position here. Ngo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Williams tries to hold on but Ngo postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Ngo dominated that round.
That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ngo shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Williams gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ngo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Williams gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Williams lands a good knee to the midsection. Ngo won't want to take too many of those.
Williams misses with a hook from the clinch.
Williams is trying to drag Ngo to the mat but Ngo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Williams is looking to control Ngo's arms but Ngo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Williams has his back to the cage.
Williams connects with a nasty looking knee right to Ngo's face.

It looks like Henry Ngo has been cut.
Williams tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ngo avoids it.
Williams is pressed up against the cage. Ngo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Williams down to the mat. Williams avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Frank Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Ngo.
Williams tries to clinch up but Ngo circles away and keeps his distance.
Henry Ngo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ngo drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ngo as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Williams screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ngo! Nice submission victory there!
