Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edmundo Jr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hugo Rossi!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr with a lazy takedown attempt

Rossi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rossi is in Jr's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edmundo Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jr has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rossi's face.

Rossi cracks Jr with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Rossi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Rossi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jr has worked his arm free - good work by Jr!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Rossi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
