The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laine misses with a wild body shot.
Pawn throws a body punch but Laine moves out of range.

Pawn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Pawn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pawn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Laine.

Laine is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pawn is controlling him.

Pawn decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Laine, up you get!
Laine seems to have recovered his senses.
Pawn throws a big shot that misses.
Pawn is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Pawn loads up on a big right hand but Laine slips the punch.

Pawn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Laine moves away.
Pawn takes one on the button.
Pawn throws a jab when Laine was well out of range.
Pawn on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Laine. Laine obviously looking to wear him down.
Laine displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pawn throws out the jab.
Laine lands with a right hand.
Laine wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Laine dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Good leg kick by Laine there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pawn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Laine fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pawn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Black Pawn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pawn is breathing heavily.

Pawn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Black Pawn has been cut.
Pawn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Laine connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pawn scrambles back to his feet.
Pawn throws the left hand but Laine avoids the punch easily.

Pawn looks to land a combination but Laine avoids it well.

Laine uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pawn.
A head kick from Laine lands but Pawn takes it in his stride.
Pawn throws a body punch but Laine moves out of range.
Laine throws an overhand right that lands on Pawn's shoulder, as Pawn tries to avoid the shot.
A big left from Pawn misses.
Pawn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Laine instigates a clinch.
Laine lands a shoulder strike.
Laine digs a right hand into Pawn's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pawn's gas tank.

Laine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Laine drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Pawn misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Laine counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Viljo Laine will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Laine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Laine throws a nice inside leg kick.

The fighters circling - Pawn throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pawn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Laine dips to his left and cracks Pawn with an uppercut!

Laine scores with a shot to the body.
Oh Pawn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pawn looks to land a right hand but Laine moved out of range.
Laine grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Pawn takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Laine cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
