Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Corden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Rourke!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rourke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Corden manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rourke tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Corden counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Rourke working a defensive guard here.
Corden has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Corden looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Corden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rourke swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Corden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

James Corden has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Rourke tries to clinch but Corden moves out of range.

and Corden counters with a takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corden trying to control the action but Rourke is working from the bottom.
Rourke regains half guard, as Corden was trying to land strikes.
Corden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rourke on the ground.

Corden stalling away here and it's allowed Rourke to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rourke looking for a triangle here. Corden is fighting it but it looks tight! Rourke pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Corden is tapping out - this one is all over!
