Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamison Aleksy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Harth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aleksy clinches.
Harth is working for takedown but Aleksy is calmly controlling the position for now.
Harth keeps control of Aleksy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Aleksy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jamison Aleksy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harth slips under a jab.
Aleksy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Aleksy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Harth keeps the fight on the outside.
Harth misses with a takedown attempt - Aleksy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Aleksy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Aleksy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Aleksy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Aleksy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Aleksy has control of Harth's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Harth regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Aleksy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jamison Aleksy dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Harth changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aleksy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Harth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Aleksy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

You get the feeling that Aleksy really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Aleksy wants to control but Harth is having none of it.
Aleksy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Harth wants to control the pace but Aleksy is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jamison Aleksy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Harth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

and Aleksy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Harth's guard.
Aleksy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aleksy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
