The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lato drives through and clinches with Marshall against the cage.
Lato has Marshall pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Marshall manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Marshall is trying to break the clinch but Lato is controlling him.
Marshall has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lato prevents Marshall from breaking the clinch.

Marshall manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Lato wants to stand and escape but instead Marshall has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Stu Marshall just wasn't active enough.

Marshall gets tackled into the cage by Lato. Lato maintains the clinch.
Marshall is trying to break free.

Marshall wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lato has him pressed against the cage.
Marshall fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Marshall is trying to break the clinch but Lato is controlling him.
Lato drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lato tries for a takedown but Marshall manages to get underhooks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marshall rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Grzegorz Lato wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lato throws a nice looking combination but Marshall bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lato getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

It looks like Stu Marshall has been cut.
Lato throws a right and a left that Marshall avoids nicely.
Lato closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Marshall! Lato dives in looking to finish! Marshall is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
