The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen loads up on a big right hand but Romero slips the punch.

Romero closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chen to the mat! Chen manages to get full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chen can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Cristian Romero will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Romero or perhaps it was just good defense by Chen which made him look bad.

Romero goes for a takedown attempt but Chen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Romero takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Chen steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Romero is out on his feet! Chen sets himself and nearly takes Romero's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
